Providing space for more than 9,000 additional pallets – grand opening on 24 November 2023
The new logistics center of KLOCKE Verpackungs-Service in Weingarten, Germany, will be inaugurated in November, effective use begins in December 2023. 7,000 square meters provide space for more than 9,000 additional pallets and other packaging material that has to be stored. From December, also the incoming goods inspectio hub, various workshops and some office space will be relocated to the center. Managing Director Dr. Matthias Linder is very delighted about the successful conclusion of the project: “This new, highly efficient logistics center sets a clear example of our focus on significant growth. It opens up many new opportunities and shows that KLOCKE is consistently geared towards the future.”
With this high-end building in energy-efficient design, KLOCKE demonstrates sustainability: it is heated and cooled with a climate-friendly heat pump that meets the GEG 40 standard. A solar power plant with 600 kWp is installed on the roof. In the course of the project, 10 more new e-charging stations for the company fleet will be implemented.
Strategic factory expansion planning started from summer 2021. The construction work began in July 2022. Only 16 months later, the opening ceremony of the new logistics center will take place on November 24, 2023. Something to be proud of!
